When corrupt science determines world politics
“At the beginning of the pandemic, nothing was more obvious than questions about its origins - including from the scientific community. As early as the end of January 2020, internationally known virologists, such as Kristian Andersen from the Scripps Institute in California, considered a laboratory accident in a virological institute in the city of Wuhan in China to be very likely, not least due to numerous abnormalities in the genetic material of the SARS-CoV-2 virus.”

A German newspaper forced the correction of the flawed Fauci funded wet market paper. And emails below showed it was rushed and coordinated by Fauci himself.
Christian Drosten, considered the Fauci of Germany, revisited the pandemic response.
Fauci and Francis Collins FOIA
A lab leak reporter, Jeremy Tobias, produced two more NIH FOIA’s. He released the latest from his independent hunt. Fauci was sending Sunday night emails, in September 2021, discussing the Laos Banal samples. Those Laos bat samples were previously collected by the US Navy in 2017 and remain the biggest mystery of lab leak.
From: Anthony Fauci < Date: Sunday, September 19, 2021
To: Tabak, Lawrence (NIH/OD)
< Subject: FW: Research Square (preprint): Coronaviruses with a SARS-CoV-2-like receptor- binding domain allowing ACE2-mediated entry into human cells isolated from bats of Indochinese peninsula
Larry: As we had previously discussed by phone this evening, here is the (Laos Banal) preprint that I was speaking about. Best regards, Tony
The below email confirms Fauci and NIAID were trying to preempt the China CDC preprint, since it showed “homo sapiens” brought SARS2 to the Wuhan wet market. Fauci succeeded since NIAID’s flawed preprint, pointing at the Wuhan wet market, made the front page of the NYT on Feb 27th.
From: Erbelding, Emily < Sent: Saturday, February 26, 2022
To: Fauci, Anthony
Subject: origin of SARS CoV2
Tony, Our investigators have let us know of the links below to a preprint server which provide evidence that the outbreak began as a zoonotic spillover event at Hunan Market. KA (Kristian Andersen) says he will announce this on twitter today, along with the explanation for these conclusions.
Francis Collins of NIH also sent a Feb 1, 2020 email listing Baric’s UNC grant that was researching furin cleavage sites in Montana bats.

Japanese lab leak video
Dr Hideki Kakeya produced a video on the origins of Covid. He was an early member of the professional lab leak team. It was called the ‘Paris Group’ but he provided the glimpse into the error they committed.
The Paris group of scientists claimed the Wuhan Institute of Virology tried to conceal the furin cleavage site in SARS2. Shi Zhengli’s RaTG13 paper, published on Jan 23, 2020, cut off the SARS2 genome right in front of the furin cleavage site.
This ‘conspiracy’ was started by the French virologists who first reported the “peculiar” furin cleavage site. They were right for the wrong reasons, since the Wuhan Institute of Virology used antique software called Genedoc. All of Shi’s papers from 2017 and 2013 consistently stopped the genome alignment at the S1/S2 border. This was the location for the SARS2 furin cleavage site. The only thing the WIV were hiding was their 20 year old MSDOS based software.
Other scientists also missed the now infamous furin cleavage site, like Eddie Holmes. He was later called by Kristian Andersen on Jan 31, 2020, to bring attention to the furin cleavage site. This was only noticeable after Shi published the natural RaTG13 sequence, making the SARS2 furin cleavage site stick out like a sore thumb. Bob Garry of Tulane noticed the furin cleavage site on Jan 12th, but did not suspect engineering until Jan 31st. He wrote “both the new furin site and the o-linked glycans are unique features of nCoV and important. Haven’t seen this picked up yet by anyone else.” Kristian then called Bob and they wrote the famous email to Dr Fauci that “we find the genome inconsistent with expectations from evolutionary theory.”
Age old question revisited?
“And Shi Zhengli of the Wuhan Institute of Virology gave (lab leak) a big assist by revealing the existence of RaTG13 and its genomic similarity to SARS-CoV-2 in her Jan 24, 2020 paper. Why would she disclose that information if it was likely to implicate her lab as the source of the pandemic?”
“The publication of the highly similar RaTG13 sequence about a week ago (Jan 23, 2020) has fueled this type of speculation…At first glance of an alignment of the S protein sequence of both, it is natural that the issue of an engineered insertion should be considered. On either side of the new furin site, the amino acid sequence is identical in both from aa614 to aa1133 – an apparent insert of PRRA is the only difference in an otherwise 100% conserved 519 amino acid region.”

Hit pieces!
wrote a hit piece on Science reporter Jon Cohen, but it reminded me of this hit piece of Richard H Ebright. On Jan 31, 2020, Kristian G Andersen of Scripps told Fauci that SARS2 “looks engineered.” Just two days earlier, Ebright told the Washington Post on Jan 29th that “based on the (SARS2) genome and properties, there is no indication whatsoever that it was an engineered virus.” This Ebright line was repeated to Chinese state media on Feb 5th. Why? Only evolutionary virologists like Kristian and Bob knew how to align Shi’s RaTG13 sequence over Baric’s SARS2 genome.Daszak confirms the typo theory, proving UNC patented SARS2?
“Lab leakers refusing to let any rabbit hole conspiracy go, even when debunked by their own. Here's one doubling down on the "293 conundrum" by which we're allegedly hiding 293 CoV sequences, or something. Nothing related to a typo in notes from a conference call, of course,” tweeted Peter Daszak on Feb 28, 2024.
USRTK keeps suing UNC for FOIA records?
UNC is refusing to give up nearly 50,000 pages of Ralph Baric records, since they are “proprietary.” Sounds like UNC is protecting Baric’s patented SARS2 genome from 2018?
Chinese espionage? More like poor paperwork
A four year old story has been repacked as clickbait. Yes, Canada fired a BSL4 scientist, Xiangguo Qiu, for sharing samples with Chinese labs, but she didn’t have the right paperwork, so it shows the massive amount of sample sharing in modern international virology (e.g. Shi sharing bat samples with Baric).
“The MTA, however, was never signed. That is likely where things went off the rails for Qiu. While she may have believed that no one can own a naturally occurring virus, and one that was collected in West Africa, that is not Canada’s position. Ottawa believes if it comes from a government freezer, it belongs to the government. By not signing an MTA, Canada would likely not be able to lay claim to whatever discoveries the Chinese researchers made using the NML’s sample.”

Bioweapon?
Prof Francois Balloux at the UCL Genetics Institute previously wrote: “It should be emphasized that any realistic lab origin scenario would point to an accidental escape, and not to any nefarious intent. Viruses have no application as bioweapons in the modern world. They’re difficult to produce in large quantities and to deploy. They take days to be effective, and if capable of human-to-human transmission, they’re likely to spread to unintended populations, including friendly forces.”
He recently Tweeted that “I stand by this quote, and I happen to know much more about biological weapons than most. Viruses have no potential as bioweapons. Bacteria (e.g. plague or anthrax) do, to a very limited extent. There is no recorded instance of the military use of a virus, not a single one, and there is no record of any use by a non-state actor either. The closest to military use of a virus is the use of 'pox blankets' by the British against native Americans, who had no immunity to smallpox But that's not the 'modern world'. Today, immunization to endemic diseases is roughly similar everywhere. There is recorded military use of bacteria, which are much easier to culture, spread, and to an extent control. The Japanese used anthrax, cholera, and plague-infected fleas. against the Chinese in 1940. It didn't go well. Bioweapons make great scenarios for movies and novels. Though, they are *really* not an effective way to kill people relative to conventional weapons, nuclear ones or poison / gas. It's true that much research went into bioweapons in the 20th century, and most major militaries are still involved in infectious disease research. Though, no country has a serious bioweapon program anymore, not because everyone's nice, but because bioweapons are shite. Interestingly, the people who obsess over bioweapons tend to be either fantasists or conspiracy theorists, or academics who have established themselves in a cushy - if pointless - area of research.”
Professor Dali Yang book review
“The book offers a dispassionate and chronological analysis of who knew what and when about the emerging SARS-related virus, but avoids accusations of a grand, top-down conspiracy by Beijing and barely touches on the heated debate over the origins of Covid-19.”
Book claims SARS2 was vaccine
Chapter One starts with myths pushed and promoted in Viral, claiming Shi hid the furin cleavage site.
The vaccine claim is not backed up in Chapter one of the book, but it was published early in the outbreak. The Scandinavian academics surmised SARS2 was a pig vaccine based on the charged parts of the receptor binding domain. SARS2 appeared to be tailored to prevent a SADS outbreak. “We have offered our deduction above. Pigs, of course, have immune systems very similar to humans.”
https://www.minerva.no/files/2020/07/13/TheEvidenceNoNaturalEvol.pdf
The German FLI lab probably picked up on this, and tested SARS2 in pigs to no avail. But they did produce evidence that SARS2 was a bat vaccine developed in Egyptian fruit bats.
Animal vs human vaccines?
There are eerie similarities between the DARPA Defuse proposal and the NIH ‘070 mRNA patent. Both 2018 documents were obsessed with a furin cleavage site at the S1/S2 border of a coronavirus, just like SARS2. A Moderna vaccine prototype was sent to Baric’s lab in December 2019. The Moderna/NIH vaccine patent even covered “bats and camels,” which are kept in Munster’s lab for testing animal vaccines.

Nicholas Wade in WSJ asked: Where Did Covid Come From?
Not UNC, according to the British science writer.
Rand pushing FBI for COVID origin info
“Senator Rand Paul, who had previously requested meetings with the FBI’s Weapons of Mass Destruction Directorate to discuss its investigation into the origins of COVID-19, said he was writing to ‘notify’ House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) that FBI leadership was refusing to meet with Congress on the topic.”
Is WA1 the ancestral strain?
Yes, according to an anonymous scientist. The WA1 sample was ‘collected’ in Wuhan, but ‘isolated’ in Seattle. It is considered the ancestral strain (earliest) of SARS2, so don’t waste energy on the lineage A versus B debate in the Wuhan wet market!
Prof Balloux: "I happen to know much more about biological weapons than most. Viruses have no potential as bioweapons... There is no recorded instance of the military use of a virus". So? The entire industry of virology and presumably the industry of bioweapons research and manufacture is obviously crammed full with dimwits whose scientific knowledge is heavily contaminated with fantasy. But of course, if Prof. Balloux is right, we must assume that viruses, whether engineered or not, cannot cause devastation at the speed and on the scale attributed by the 'authorities' and 'experts' to 'Covid-19'.
I wonder 🤔 what was in those 2019 flu jabs...?
